Coordinators’ Meeting for ECSG Calvià 2025: Key Updates and Strategic Discussions

The planning and preparations for the European Company Sport Games (ECSG) Calvià 2025 are well underway, and a significant milestone was achieved recently with the successful coordinators’ meeting held at the  Melià South Beach hotel in Magaluf. This crucial gathering brought together coordinators from various federations across Europe to discuss vital aspects of the upcoming games, ensuring seamless organization and an exceptional experience for all participants.

Key Topics Discussed

1. Transport Logistics
One of the primary topics of discussion was the transportation plan. Ensuring smooth and efficient transport for all participants is paramount. The meeting emphasized that the distances between hotels and sports venues will not exceed 15 minutes by road from the central hub of the games. A fleet of over 40 buses will operate on three distinct routes, connecting the hotels with the sports facilities. Coordinators were assured that participants staying in hotels booked through the organization will have convenient access to bus stops. Additionally, those who have arranged their accommodation independently will also be able to utilize the transport services, as well as their accompanying guests.

2. Sustainability Initiatives
In line with the commitment to sustainability, discussions highlighted the implementation of eco-friendly practices throughout the event. The transport fleet will include vehicles designed to minimize environmental impact, underscoring the event’s dedication to promoting sustainable practices and reducing the carbon footprint. Coordinators shared innovative ideas and strategies to enhance sustainability efforts, ensuring that the ECSG Calvià 2025 sets a benchmark for future events.

3. Sports Facilities and Disciplines
Detailed updates were provided on the sports facilities and the 35 disciplines that will be featured in the games. The coordinators reviewed the readiness of various venues, ensuring they meet the highest standards for hosting the competition. The meeting also included discussions on the schedule, ensuring that all sports disciplines are well-organized and that participants have access to top-notch facilities.

4. Accommodation and Hospitality
The strategic partnership with Viajes El Corte Inglés for hotel reservations was discussed in detail. Over 3,000 rooms have been secured at 2024 prices during peak season, providing participants with competitive rates and convenient lodging options. The proximity of the hotels to each other and to the sports venues will foster camaraderie and ease of access, enhancing the overall experience for athletes and their supporters.

5. Additional Logistics and Support
The meeting also covered other logistical aspects, such as medical support, hydration coordination, and emergency preparedness. Ensuring the safety and well-being of all participants remains a top priority, and comprehensive plans are in place to address any contingencies.

The coordinators’ meeting was marked by a spirit of collaboration and shared commitment to delivering an outstanding event. The insights and updates shared during the meeting will play a pivotal role in the continued preparations for ECSG Calvià 2025.

We extend our gratitude to all the coordinators and federations for their active participation and valuable contributions. The enthusiasm and dedication exhibited during the meeting reinforce our confidence that ECSG Calvià 2025 will be a resounding success.
