Class division
➢ Male “Open Class” for all ages
➢ Male “Senior Class” for 40 years and over (40+).
➢ Female “Open Class” for all ages
➢ Female “Senior Class” age 40 and over (40+).
Game model
A team consists of up to 12 players.
Matches
1. The tournament will be conducted under the ABC Pool/CUP system to even out the level differences between the participating teams.
2. a) Teams are ranked in each pool by points, so that the team with the most points is no. 1 and the next best team is no. 2 etc
* If 2 teams are tied, the matches they have played together decide the outcome.
* If the teams remain tied, the team with the greater difference between games won and games lost, and then in points scored, is the winner.
Playing time
1 Two halves of 10 min. each are played. effective time.
2 In case of a tie at the end of regulation time in cup matches – 2½ min. will be played as extra time. NO extra time will be played in group stage matches
2 time-outs per team per half are allowed.
Rules
1. Each team must appoint a responsible person (coach, captain….), who must always be present
during the game and deal with the referees and the Organizing Committee.
2. Unless otherwise specified, the rules of the International Basketball Federation apply.
3. The referee must apply the international rules.
4. The detailed rules of the game are published in the tournament program.
