1. COMPETITION CATEGORIES
1.1. Division of Categories
The Slingshot tournament will be divided into categories according to age and type of participation.
1.2. Individual Tournament
- Senior Open Category: From 16 years old.
- The category is divided into Male and Female.
2. DRESS CODE
2.1. Dress Requirements
In official competitions organized by the Association, the use of sportswear is mandatory.
adequate that:
✅ Be comfortable and breathable.
✅ Do not cause chafing.
✅ Allow freedom of movement.
Example of permitted attire:
✅ T-shirts (long-sleeved, short-sleeved, sleeveless or tank tops).
✅ Pants or sweatpants (long or short).
✅ Sports dresses (long or short).
✅ Sweaters, blouses or sports-type T-shirts.
✅ Sports shoes or similar with rubber soles.
Participants are allowed to wear advertising on their equipment.
2.2. Standards at Official Events
- The organization may require sports uniforms depending on the competition.
3. ARBITRATION
3.1. Composition of the Arbitration Team
In all ASHID competitions, the refereeing team shall be composed of:
- Chief Judge-Referee
- Judge-Referee
- Table Judge-Referee
- Support or Alternate Judge-Referee
- In the long distance or long range modality, two “Fall” Judges will be added.
3.2. Functions of the Arbitrators
- Control compliance with the regulations.
- Verify scores and validate them.

4.1. Competition Distances
- Short Distance: 23 steps.
4.2. Types of Projectiles
- Tennis balls or similar.
4.3. Types of Permitted Slingshots
- Permitted materials: Pita, esparto grass, tow, flax, hemp, fur, hair, wool or any other material.

- Prohibited materials: Slingshots of mineral, metallic or similar origin.
5. SCORING SYSTEM AND TIE-BREAKERS
5.1. Scores in Competition
- Frame impact: 1 point.
- Impact on target: 2 points.
- Missed or null launch: 0 points.
5.2. Resolution of Ties
1. Priority is given to the slinger with the most hits on the target.
2. If the tie persists, priority is given to the one who has had the fewest null attempts.
3. If there is still a tie, an extra throw will be made.
4. For secondary positions, they will be classified ex aequo.
6. CLAIMS
6.1. Claim Procedure
- The complaint must be addressed to the Chief Judge-Referee.
- If there is no agreement, it shall be submitted in writing with a deposit in Euros.
- It may be presented up to 10 minutes after the end of the competition.
6.2. Observations and Conduct
- Respectful remarks to the referees are permitted.
- Disrespectful behavior may result in exclusion from the tournament.
7. NULL LINE
- It will be marked with a line 2 meters long and 10 cm wide on the ground.
- If it is not possible to paint it, a wooden board or other material with a minimum thickness of 3 cm shall be used.
8. DEVELOPMENT OF THE LAUNCH
8.1. Launch Order
- This will be done on a first-come, first-served basis.
- Each participant will throw 5 times per round.
8.2. Launch Test
- A single trial of up to 6 pitches is allowed before the start of the competition.
8.3. Launching Rules
- It shall be launched from the regulation cage or behind the null board.
- The use of wristbands and bandages is allowed in case of injury.
9. NULL LAUNCHES
9.1. Causes for Null Launching
❌ Stepping on the null line.
❌ Hitting the cage.
❌ Exceeding the 1 minute time limit.
❌ Throwing outside the impact zone.
10. BLANCO-DIANA
- Frame of 1.20 m side and 3 cm thick.
- Central metal circle of 50 cm in diameter.
- Located at a height of 1.60 meters.
13. GAME MODEL
- 4 rounds of 5 pitches each.
- Minimum 5 minute break between the second and third round.
- The target will be rotated after the second round.
